It’s hard to miss the impressive-looking health facility sitting on the outskirts of Greytown in the Wairarapa. Five Rivers Medical offers up a range of specialist services and is where our Greytown clinic is held. The village itself is most famous for its turn of the century architecture and cottages, quaint shops and annual festivals. You might want to spend some time browsing the shops before or after your appointment. There’s good coffee in Greytown from any of the many cafes.

Greytown is also home to the first celebration of Arbor day tree planting in New Zealand. A focus for the town you can delight in the many magnificent specimen trees.

Getting there. Turn off the main road on to Bidwills Cutting. Take care if you’re coming from the South as you’re turning off State Highway 2. From there it’s about 200 metres opposite the local Kuranui College. From Masterton allow around 20 minutes and 40 minutes if coming from Upper Hutt.

Park out the front and come to the main reception.
